State Wars Practices

State Wars practices have been added to the Google calendar. You may import this calendar into your own calendar!

Here are practice times for State Wars.

State wars practices:
Sundays from 11-12:30 July 13, 20 , 27
Thursdays from 5:30-7 July 17 , 24
it's $5.00 each kid/each practice

Coaches for both teams:
Ryan Hoffman head coach
Jayson Towne asst coach

You can pay for the practices as you go or all at once. You can either pay Skate City or your team manager (obviously if you pay the team manager it would be in cash). We would then turn the payment into Skate City.

If you cannot make a practice please let the coaches know so they can plan accordingly.

State Wars 10 Pin Ordering

Order Your Pins!

The pin price (cost + delivery) is determined by how many pins will be ordered. Michele McClure is required to pay for the pins with a single check. The following is how the pin process will work:

1. Pin ordering will be available online by using the link found in this post from now until midnight on June 27 (after this date/time no more orders can be made; a limited number of pins may be purchased from the staff at State Wars at the tournament for a higher cost);
2. On June 28, everyone will be notified by the method they selected in Question 3 with the cost of their pin order and payment methods available (cash or check);
3. Payments (cash or check) need to be made as soon as possible to Michele McClure;
4. Money will be sent on July 10, for the pin order to State Wars to have the pins made; and
5. Managers for each team will distribute pins at the State Wars tournament.

State Wars 10 Specialty Items Ordering

As you know, every year State Wars has specialty items you can order. The items are listed below. The order form must be completed and turned into State Wars by JUNE 25th! One master order sheet will be created and emailed to State Wars. Michelle Bedore will collect payments from everyone and mail in one check.

• ITEM #1 : "Helmet Stickers"
• A very popular item that showcases what state/province your players are representing designed in 2014 team colors (see attached Team NY version) with special 10th anniversary logo cost is only $5 for a set of stickers (one for each side of players helmet).
• ITEM #2 : "Roster T-Shirts"
• Most popular item each year a new custom State Wars 10th anniversary shirt that will list on the back the rosters for every team in your child's birth year division at State Wars we are currently designing an awesome new look! Cost is $25 per shirt. NEW: This year proceeds generated form these sales are going towards LIVE STREAMING so every game at State Wars will be live streamed on the internet for anyone to watch for FREE.
• ITEM #3 : "State/Provincial Polo Shirts"
• Very popular with parents, fans and players each polo will be in the team colors with embroidered State Wars Hockey logo, embroidered players # and state/province name great way to represent at the rink (attached is picture of one of last years polos) cost is $35 per polo (anyone wanting two #s embroidered on the same polo, cost is $5 for any additional #s).
  
  
• ITEM #4 : "State Wars Hockey Trading Pins & Dog Tags"
• Players LOVE to trade pins and dogs tags at State Wars great way to show respect and appreciation for opponents after games, trading with them Jane Okada "our pin lady" handles all of this. Michele McClure is the pin trading contact for all of Nebraska's teams. You will have to pay her separately for pins and/or dog tags.
• ITEM #5 (New Product For 2014): "Mini Jerseys To Stick On Car Windows"
• New mini jersey replicas with suction cups to stick to car windows attached is an example of the Team NC jersey with dimensions identical replica of the team's away jersey with players # on them! Cost is $15.
  
  

Please have your order to Michelle no later than June 24th. Michelle Bedore will be in Colorado from the 18th-25th, so Jayson Towne will be helping her with this to ensure the 2001 and younger teams have up until the deadline to collect orders and payments. You can pay with either cash, check, or via PayPal.

If paying by check, please make check payable to either Michelle Bedore or Jayson Towne. If paying by PayPal, please let Michelle Bedore or Jayson Towne know and they will provide you will the email address to send money to.

Please note that if paying via PayPal, money sent from your bank account as the "funding method" will not result in a fee, but using all other options will. If you are using a "funding method" other than your bank account, please make sure you pay the fee so that we do not have to followup with you to collect the fee later.

Jayson and/or Michelle will be at Skate City during the following dates/times so if you could please arrange a time to bring payment to them would be much appreciated.

Paying For State Wars 10

Please make sure you pay your 2014 State Wars fee. You have several options based on your situation.

Please Note: 1) If you registered online for tryouts, you have a $60 credit coming because the State Wars officials did not come to tryouts and/or 2) If you are playing for more than one team, you will need to pay an additional $100 to cover pants, etc.

Please follow the instructions for paying your child's entrance fee based on your situation...

• If your child is playing on ONE teams:
• If your child DID register for tryouts:
• Pay by making out a $220 check ($280 for playing on a team - $60 for the tryout fee) to "State Wars Hockey", add a small note explaining which team your child will be playing on, and mail the check and the note to the address below.
• If your child DID NOT register for tryouts:
• Go online to the Nebraska Page and select Register Now!!! Once on the registration page, you will need to fill in your child's name, check the box next to Nebraska, and click the "Next" button. On the next screen, you will need to fill out your child's information (again if you previously registered for tryouts), select "I agree", digitally sign the disclosure statement at the bottom by adding your initials, and click "Next". On the next screen you will be asked to provide credit card information to pay. This way you will have to pay $280.
• If your child is playing on TWO teams:
• If your child DID register for tryouts:
• Go online to the Nebraska Page and select Register Now!!! Once on the registration page, you will need to fill in your child's name, check the box next to Nebraska, and click the "Next" button. On the next screen, you will need to fill out your child's information (again if you previously registered for tryouts), select "I agree", digitally sign the disclosure statement at the bottom by adding your initials, and click "Next". On the next screen you will be asked to provide credit card information to pay. This way you will have to pay $280.
• There is an additional fee for playing on a second team, so mail a $40 check ($100 for playing on the extra team - $60 for the tryout fee) made out to "Sate Wars Hockey" to the following address with a printed copy of the $60 confirmation email for tryouts and a small note explaining the $40 check is for the remaining balance for playing on a second team for Nebraska.
• If your child DID NOT register for tryouts:
• Go online to the Nebraska Page and select Register Now!!! Once on the registration page, you will need to fill in your child's name, check the box next to Nebraska, and click the "Next" button. On the next screen, you will need to fill out your child's information (again if you previously registered for tryouts), select "I agree", digitally sign the disclosure statement at the bottom by adding your initials, and click "Next". On the next screen you will be asked to provide credit card information to pay. This way you will have to pay $280.
• There is an additional fee for playing on a second team, so mail a $100 check made out to "Sate Wars Hockey" to the following address with a small note explaining the check is for playing on a second team for Nebraska.

Tryouts & Hotel Information

Tryouts are this Sunday, June 1, in the morning for all age groups (tryouts will be completed by 1 PM). If you have not registered for tryouts please do so at State Wars Hockey Registration.

We took a guess at what teams we would have for Nebraska back in January based on the teams we had in the past and reserved several room blocks. After tryouts, when the teams are announced, we will collect email addresses for players. We will send you an email to grant you access to the reserved room blocks. Most of the rooms are taken; but in the interim, you may look at what hotels are available on the Hotels/Attractions link on the State Wars Hockey website.

Tryout Date Set For June 1

The Nebraska tryout date has been set! Skate City in Bellevue will once again be hosting the Nebraska State Wars Roller Hockey Championship tryouts. Sunday, June 1, 2014 is the tryout date, but no time is set. Tryouts are two hours long and will cost $60. Tryouts are risk free; anyone who does not make a team will have their money refunded to them. All players will be chosen by State Wars staff, and coaches will be chosen by Dave Frank. Dave is waiting to hear from the State Wars staff as to whether they will hold the tryouts in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Register Now!
