State Wars 11 Registration

To all parents and players,

I just wanted to send you this update that the Team Nebraska tryout will be held at the Skate City in Bellevue on June 7th

We ask everyone planning on attending tryouts to please REGISTER NOW. There is so much planning that comes into organizing tryouts all around North America, we must book flights for staff, plan on how many staff members we need, order State Wars Hockey tryout jerseys by sizes ordered, let the facilities know how much rink time we need, and come out with our tryout schedule (based on #s per age group). So with all of this, it is no easy task. All we ask is that you please register early and make the process so much simpler for us.

We also ask that you TELL OTHERS about this great opportunity. It is always our goal to field 1-2 teams in EVERY birth year in each state or province and this can happen with your help. Lets work together to make sure that your tryout is the best it can be!

Those that are not aware, State Wars will be returning to the beautiful St.Peters Rec Plex in St.Peters Missouri this July 29-Aug 9. This gorgeous facility houses 3 NHL sized rinks and an aquatic center. Most importantly flights to this area are generally very reasonable, hotel costs are cheaper than most areas, and there are tons of attractions in the area for the families. Including: Six Flags Amusement Park, St.Louis Cardinals games, St.Louis Zoo, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, the Gateway Arch, City Museum, and many beautiful casinos.

State Wars has become THE one event each summer that teams from ALL over North America travel to play in, to crown ONE TRUE National Champion. If you want to play different teams from all across the US and Canada, State Wars is the event you MUST attend!

State Wars 10 Specialty Items Ordering

As you know, every year State Wars has specialty items you can order. The items are listed below. The order form must be completed and turned into State Wars by JUNE 25th! One master order sheet will be created and emailed to State Wars. Michelle Bedore will collect payments from everyone and mail in one check.

• ITEM #1 : "Helmet Stickers"
• A very popular item that showcases what state/province your players are representing designed in 2014 team colors (see attached Team NY version) with special 10th anniversary logo cost is only $5 for a set of stickers (one for each side of players helmet).
• ITEM #2 : "Roster T-Shirts"
• Most popular item each year a new custom State Wars 10th anniversary shirt that will list on the back the rosters for every team in your child's birth year division at State Wars we are currently designing an awesome new look! Cost is $25 per shirt. NEW: This year proceeds generated form these sales are going towards LIVE STREAMING so every game at State Wars will be live streamed on the internet for anyone to watch for FREE.
• ITEM #3 : "State/Provincial Polo Shirts"
• Very popular with parents, fans and players each polo will be in the team colors with embroidered State Wars Hockey logo, embroidered players # and state/province name great way to represent at the rink (attached is picture of one of last years polos) cost is $35 per polo (anyone wanting two #s embroidered on the same polo, cost is $5 for any additional #s).
  
  
• ITEM #4 : "State Wars Hockey Trading Pins & Dog Tags"
• Players LOVE to trade pins and dogs tags at State Wars great way to show respect and appreciation for opponents after games, trading with them Jane Okada "our pin lady" handles all of this. Michele McClure is the pin trading contact for all of Nebraska's teams. You will have to pay her separately for pins and/or dog tags.
• ITEM #5 (New Product For 2014): "Mini Jerseys To Stick On Car Windows"
• New mini jersey replicas with suction cups to stick to car windows attached is an example of the Team NC jersey with dimensions identical replica of the team's away jersey with players # on them! Cost is $15.
  
  

Please have your order to Michelle no later than June 24th. Michelle Bedore will be in Colorado from the 18th-25th, so Jayson Towne will be helping her with this to ensure the 2001 and younger teams have up until the deadline to collect orders and payments. You can pay with either cash, check, or via PayPal.

If paying by check, please make check payable to either Michelle Bedore or Jayson Towne. If paying by PayPal, please let Michelle Bedore or Jayson Towne know and they will provide you will the email address to send money to.

Please note that if paying via PayPal, money sent from your bank account as the "funding method" will not result in a fee, but using all other options will. If you are using a "funding method" other than your bank account, please make sure you pay the fee so that we do not have to followup with you to collect the fee later.

Jayson and/or Michelle will be at Skate City during the following dates/times so if you could please arrange a time to bring payment to them would be much appreciated.

Paying For State Wars 10

Please make sure you pay your 2014 State Wars fee. You have several options based on your situation.

Please Note: 1) If you registered online for tryouts, you have a $60 credit coming because the State Wars officials did not come to tryouts and/or 2) If you are playing for more than one team, you will need to pay an additional $100 to cover pants, etc.

Please follow the instructions for paying your child's entrance fee based on your situation...

• If your child is playing on ONE teams:
• If your child DID register for tryouts:
• Pay by making out a $220 check ($280 for playing on a team - $60 for the tryout fee) to "State Wars Hockey", add a small note explaining which team your child will be playing on, and mail the check and the note to the address below.
• If your child DID NOT register for tryouts:
• Go online to the Nebraska Page and select Register Now!!! Once on the registration page, you will need to fill in your child's name, check the box next to Nebraska, and click the "Next" button. On the next screen, you will need to fill out your child's information (again if you previously registered for tryouts), select "I agree", digitally sign the disclosure statement at the bottom by adding your initials, and click "Next". On the next screen you will be asked to provide credit card information to pay. This way you will have to pay $280.
• If your child is playing on TWO teams:
• If your child DID register for tryouts:
• Go online to the Nebraska Page and select Register Now!!! Once on the registration page, you will need to fill in your child's name, check the box next to Nebraska, and click the "Next" button. On the next screen, you will need to fill out your child's information (again if you previously registered for tryouts), select "I agree", digitally sign the disclosure statement at the bottom by adding your initials, and click "Next". On the next screen you will be asked to provide credit card information to pay. This way you will have to pay $280.
• There is an additional fee for playing on a second team, so mail a $40 check ($100 for playing on the extra team - $60 for the tryout fee) made out to "Sate Wars Hockey" to the following address with a printed copy of the $60 confirmation email for tryouts and a small note explaining the $40 check is for the remaining balance for playing on a second team for Nebraska.
• If your child DID NOT register for tryouts:
• Go online to the Nebraska Page and select Register Now!!! Once on the registration page, you will need to fill in your child's name, check the box next to Nebraska, and click the "Next" button. On the next screen, you will need to fill out your child's information (again if you previously registered for tryouts), select "I agree", digitally sign the disclosure statement at the bottom by adding your initials, and click "Next". On the next screen you will be asked to provide credit card information to pay. This way you will have to pay $280.
• There is an additional fee for playing on a second team, so mail a $100 check made out to "Sate Wars Hockey" to the following address with a small note explaining the check is for playing on a second team for Nebraska.

Tryouts & Hotel Information

Tryouts are this Sunday, June 1, in the morning for all age groups (tryouts will be completed by 1 PM). If you have not registered for tryouts please do so at State Wars Hockey Registration.

We took a guess at what teams we would have for Nebraska back in January based on the teams we had in the past and reserved several room blocks. After tryouts, when the teams are announced, we will collect email addresses for players. We will send you an email to grant you access to the reserved room blocks. Most of the rooms are taken; but in the interim, you may look at what hotels are available on the Hotels/Attractions link on the State Wars Hockey website.

State Wars Hockey Is Heading To Indiana

State Wars 10 will be at the Lutheran Health Sports Center in Fort Wayne, IN. According to Google Maps it is a 9 hour and 27 minute trip from Skate City in Bellevue, NE.

Please Note: All calendars have all preliminary games, skills competitions (if applicable), and award presentations (if applicable). Because it is unknown whether a team listed as AAA/AA will be in the AAA or AA division of the playoffs, or a team listed as AA/A will be in the AA or A division of the playoffs; so all dates for all possible divisions are listed. Team managers/coaches will remove unnecessary calendar items once playoff divisions are determined.

Nebraska 1996 AA/A Game Schedule

All teams in the 1996 AA/A division are guaranteed four (4) preliminary games. Once the preliminary games are completed our team will be placed in either the AA or A division for at least one (1) playoff game in this single elimination tournament. State Wars 9 Schedule

State Wars Hockey  SW9 Schedule Released State Wars 9 Schedule Available Check it out at www.statewarshockey.com    At a time when everyone is always concerned about the state of the sport and what the future holds, I am pleased to announce that State Wars Hockey has reached record highs in 2013, as 293 state and provincial teams will be competing at State Wars 9 this summer. Over 900 games will be played at the Darien Sportsplex from July 31-August 11 as over 3000 players will embark on a mission to represent their home state or province with pride & honor. With age groups ranging from our first ever 6 & under division through the ever growing Masters 35 & over, one thing is certain, there will be a lot of excitement and energy in the Sportsplex this summer! Now the fun begins, not only can you see who you are going to be playing this early on and begin to prepare for those teams, you can also check out the full team rosters for your opponents as well. Make sure you check out theSTATS section on our website and begin to utilize our incredible system. Since the first puck dropped in 2005, every single state, game and player has been archived in our system. Make sure you take advantage of this very unique aspect in our sport!  But most importantly here is your  2013 State Wars Schedule.  Yet another reason why State Wars is the FORCE in roller hockey!  Oh by the way, getting this schedule so early doesn't entitle you to complain or ask for game changes.  Please do not contact us asking why your team played this team or why your games are that time, once again there are 293 teams playing over 900 games over a 12 day period...so we do our best to make this event the BEST there is in hockey.  We apologize to any teams who play super early or really late but that's what tournament hockey is all about...all day and night at the rink! New Coaches Update

• For the 1996 Team the coaches are Rick Murcek and Tim Luscom.
• For the 2000 Team Frank Schmal will be coaching alongside Gregg McElwain.

Parents have been asking how may teams are going to State Wars for each age group. I compared the teams for each age group against the tryout list. There are three states/provinces that are not on a team list. Kansas does not have their tryouts until today/tonight (6/14), and Manitoba and Virginia do not have a tryout date listed. I hope this helps!
